BRIEF: Produce an eye catching design to create public awareness of the British Association of Landscape Industries and demonstrate the skills of its members who built and supplied materials for the stand/garden. Make the stand welcoming to visitors, providing seating, with areas for displays and information.

ELEMENTS: Design combined the BALI logo and the RHS signage colour schemes, and featured bespoke curved benches, highlighting the sweeping curves of the paths and planted areas. Materials supplied by BALI affiliate members included green walls (Treebox Ltd), paving and walling (CED Ltd), resin bound gravel (SureSet Uk Ltd), planting and trees (Provender Nurseries Ltd), lighting (Landscape Plus Ltd), and fencing (Quercus UK Ltd), metal edging (EverEdge Ltd).

CLIENTS COMMENT: ‘Charlotte’s talent was spotted early on! She was approached by BALI to design and then project manage the build of the BALI trade stand cum garden at Chelsea 2013, working with BALI contractors and product suppliers to create a garden that would show off to the public the design and construction expertise of BALI members. Working within challenging financial and time constraints, Charlotte used her boundless charm to coax the team of BALI volunteers to go above and beyond the call of duty. The result was a lovely and much admired design that was packed full of interest and used quality products in an innovative way. The garden received a Highly Commended from the impossibly difficult to please RHS judges.’
