Clathrus ruber, Sark
We came across this fungus (Clathrus ruber) on a walk down to Dixcart Bay during a trip to Sark this summer. It was hard to believe it was real, a fascinating, almost other worldly thing. I believe its quite rare.
Sark is one of my very favourite places to escape to, such a wonderful island, so different from anywhere else. There are no cars, no tarmac roads, its a slower, beautiful, and a deeply grounding place to be, so peaceful and quiet.
As I love it so much I thought I’d share a few pictures of the Island too!
